Clements Limited are a well-established, two-fold design, manufacture and installation company that create and deliver captivating experiences. Clements also provide luxury shop fit-outs for global leading designer brands. Clements have signed a continuation of their sponsorship deal with Max Coates, who will compete in his third season of the Renault UK Clio Cup with multiple title winning squad, Pyro Motorsport.
Coates will be revealing his 2018 title challenger with the Leicestershire based team at Silverstone tomorrow (15th March) which will include prominent Clements branding on the bonnet and boot of the car as well as Max’s race suit and helmet. The Renault UK Clio Cup is broadcast live on ITV4 (watched by more than 20 million people in the UK) and is a premier support race to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Coates is heading into his third year of Renault competition which has included three race wins thus far. In his first year he claimed the Graduate Cup Championship title and has been a regular podium challenger throughout. He will go into this season as one of the title favourites.
During the year Max will team up with Leicester Cricket Club, another of Clements partners, to challenge each other at their own sports. Online media will be used extensively to activate Clements sponsorship which will include a variety of blog posts and content on both Clements and Max’s online channels. Clements will also use the BTCC events to showcase their POS capabilities with on-event activation too. The partnership provides Clements with access to VIP Hospitality with Renault Sport which will be used to entertain staff and clients.
Clements will join Harron Homes, Primex Plastics and PLASgran Recycling as sponsors of the BRDC Rising Star and MSA Academy Squad member.
Max commented: “I am very pleased to be continuing my relationship with Clements Limited in 2018. They are a fantastic company to work alongside, their innovation, quality and expertise in the POS and Shop Fitting industries is something I find very interesting, so much so that we’ll be making a blog about a day’s work experience with them during the year. I am relishing the link up with Leicester Cricket Club too, I’m a competitive person so will be up for a challenge and giving another sport a go. On the track, this season is shaping up to be a great one for me, I’ve joined a fantastic team in Pyro Motorsport who are the most successful in the championship and based locally to Clements. I am sure that their guests will have a great day with the team when they visit us during the year.”
Renault Sport’s UK Motorsport Championship Manager Will Fewkes added: “Max becomes the latest high-profile name to join the UK Clio Cup grid for 2018 which is shaping up to be even more competitive than 2017’s. I have no doubt Max will put together a very strong title bid with Pyro and it will be interesting to see just how far he and Pyro’s other drivers can push one other.”
Max will drive his new car for the first time tomorrow (15th March) at the championship media day at Silverstone (Northants) before heading to Brands Hatch (Kent) the following week for a test day. Racing will then start at the Kent venue on the 7th and 8th April and fans can watch Max in the Clements car live on ITV4 or by joining the tens of thousands of spectators trackside.
