Reporting to the Operations Manager your main duties will involve managing and scheduling projects, maximising product availability and minimising production costs and inventory levels. Working as a key member of the Operations Team you will be responsible for determining the demand for a given project, plan its inventory levels, negotiate and place orders to support those levels and expedite the delivery of products on a JIT basis. Additionally you will be responsible for sourcing new materials and negotiating strategic agreements from worldwide suppliers.
To be considered for this role you will possess strong interpersonal skills, confident at dealing with complex internal and external interfaces together with a high level of autonomy. You must be action oriented and highly motivated, able to manage multiple projects with a strong drive for results. A proven track record in buying, production planning within a construction / manufacturing / project based environment; and a knowledge of metalwork procurement would be a distinct advantage.
