Environment designed by Tomas Maier of Bottega Veneta
Working to Bottega Veneta’s signature store concept, designed by Creative Director Tomas Maier, Clements were the main contractors for the refurbishment of an existing store in Sloane Street, London. Alongside Carmen Chiminazzo of Bottega Veneta, Clements kept to a demanding 20 week schedule which included the installation of a new lift shaft.
Renowned for its signature intrecciato woven leather, Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta’s timeless style has earned it a loyal and discerning following since its launch in 1966. Tomas Maier took over as head designer in 2001, giving the label’s classic brand of chic a new, modern perspective. And when it came to refurbishment time, Tomas knew exactly the team he wanted. Clements delivered key changes to the 5 storey space including a completely new stair well, increased retail space on the 2nd floor and the inclusion of a showroom and PR offices. The first phase demanded that certain retail areas continued trading while the new lift shaft was installed.
Clements’ other ‘partner’ alongside Carmen Chiminazzo in the Bottega Veneta project was leading architectural practice Househam Henderson and through a truly collaborative effort, the store re-opened its doors in time for the important Christmas trade.
The work carried out by Clements included all heating, ventilation and electrics, building works, flooring, ceiling and wall treatments.
